Brief Description

As a Maintenance Apprentice at Timet, you will be working in a heavy industrial environment as part of our highly skilled Maintenance Team working and learning from skilled tradesmen gaining the skills required to be a multi skilled Maintenance Technician

Qualifications Required

GCSE in Mathematics, B or above; English GCSE, C or above; GCSE in one Science subject, B or above and GCSE, A to C in two other subjects.

Vacancy Detail

On a daily basis you will support our production team in responding to plant and equipment breakdowns using a wide variety of both the Mechanical and electrical skills that you will gain as part of your apprenticeship. Working with the team, you will be actively involved in carrying out and the development of planned maintenance schedules that are designed to ensure that the plant and equipment is performing at its optimum.

The plant and equipment you will maintain is extensive, as will be the range of skills that you will learn in this challenging environment.

During your apprenticeship you will have exposure to all of the different departments and processes involved in the manufacturing Titanium, you will develop a deep understanding of the process its complexities and the strict quality requirements that are demanded from the world?s leading producer of Titanium a metal that is used extensively in the aircraft industry.

Learning the process and gaining knowledge of the product is a key requirement to becoming an effective Maintenance technician

At Timet Witton we melt raw materials, including sponge and alloy additions, into ingot that is forged into billet for external sales and intermediate product that is further processed at our facility in South Wales for aerospace uses.
