Brief Description : Mondelez International are recruiting 48 Food and Drink Advanced Operator apprentices to learn what it takes to work within the UK’s premium confectionery manufacturing business in the heart of Bournville, Birmingham.
Qualifications Required : • Minimum of 5 GCSE’s (or equivalent), including English & maths grade A*(9) - C (4)

As a Food Operator Apprentice, you will join an established training programme where you will receive a combination of classroom and practical based training to allow you to learn the technical and functional skills required to start your career.
Our apprenticeships last for 3 years where you will study towards a Level 3 Food and Drink Advanced Operator Diploma qualification. Training will cover:
• Bench fitting
• Electrical Maintenance
• Mechanical Maintenance
• Continuous Improvement/Lean Techniques
• Food Manufacturing
• Food Hygiene
Our apprenticeships encompass the operation of a number of fully automated production processes, factory quality, and hygiene and safety requirements (including GMP). You will be continually problem solving in order to help with continuous improvement.

Working Week : Mon-Thurs 8am-16:30pm Fri 8am-12:30pm Total Hours 37.5 Hours
Salary : £279.00 Per Week

Other Information : On completion of your apprenticeship, for those who really shine during our 3 year programme, there will be a variety of opportunities available including technical food operative, technician and potentially even Engineering roles, plus options to continue into further education.
Things to consider : Working within manufacturing is not for everyone, if you like being outdoors and envisage a future of working in an outside arena the food-manufacturing environment is not for you.
Strict food safety standards assure a clean working environment removed from outside elements.
Random Drug and Alcohol testing is an expectation in this role.
