Brief Description

As an Apprentice you will learn how to service, maintain and repair KARL STORZ endoscopes along with other medical devices in the Slough repair department whilst attending college and gaining a relevant Engineering qualification.

Qualifications Required

Essential ? 5 GCSEs at 9 ? 4 / A* - C (5 or above preferred), must include maths, English language, and ideally Science, or equivalent related qualification.

Your apprenticeship will involve undertaking a series of attachments in various departments in KSEUK in order to build knowledge and experience to include:
- Repair Assessment: - In depth diagnosis and assessment of medical devices
- Repair: - Diagnosis, repair and functional testing of medical endoscopes to component level
- Electronic Repair: - Fault diagnosis, service, repair and functional testing of electronic devices
- Technical Services: Support and administer related engineering support services to internal and external customers
- Field Service: - in field support to existing customers providing both first and second line support functions
- To gain experience and a complete understanding of the whole organisation in other business functions outside of engineering such as:
- Contracts
- Customer services
- Sales and marketing

This is a 4 year course where you will spend 9 months in the first year at our training partner's facility in Birmingham in a half board hotel, funded and organised by the company.
In year 2 you will be required to attend the training facility on block release for 1 week every 5 to 6 weeks.
Years 3 & 4 will be spent at Karl Storz with Make UK staff visiting to assess your work on site.
