Brief Description

Based at one of our West Midlands' site, working in one of the largest functions within our business you?ll have a key role in delivering our current product range of vehicles to the highest standards to meet our customers? expectations.

Qualifications Required

Essential ? 5 GCSEs at 9 ? 4 / A* - C (5 or above preferred), must include maths, English language, and ideally Science, or equivalent related qualification.

The ideal apprentice will be hard working, dedicated to developing their skills in a maufacturing environment.

Skills Required

A passion for engineering is a must, along with good GCSE results and the ability to communicate well.

Training to be Provided

? Engineering Basic Skills training ? off the job full time at Make UK in Aston, Birmingham
? NVQ Level 3 in Engineering
? A Technical Certificate (BTEC Diploma Level 3 in Engineering)
? In house training in line with your requirements.

Operating in world-class manufacturing facilities such as press shops, body shops, paint shops and vehicle assembly areas you?ll be responsible for maintaining automated and advanced technologies, in either mechatronic maintenance or toolmaking roles. You?ll provide support to maximise production efficiencies and maintain all associated plant equipment to ensure the smooth running of our state-of-the-art production facilities.

MAINTENANCE

You?ll carry out preventive maintenance, diagnose and fix faults, on complex machinery and equipment to keep our manufacturing operation running smoothly. We?ll also help you develop the ability to use problem-solving skills on robots, logistics, process system and electrical and mechanical components.



MANUFACTURING SUPPORT

In this area, you?ll work to improve our manufacturing techniques and processes, helping us to deliver the highest quality products to our customers. You?ll gain knowledge of our vehicles and production techniques, reporting on quality and standardisation of our processes to meet customer and industry standards. You will develop the necessary skills to be able to support our manufacturing functions.



MANUFACTURING INSTALLATION AND COMMISSIONING

You will be working with our Manufacturing Engineering team planning, preparing and installing new manufacturing facilities for future models. You will gain in depth knowledge on how to build, install and then commission machinery that enables the business to build our vehicles efficiently and to high quality standards.



TOOLMAKER, TOOL AND DIE MAINTENANCE

Combining traditional manual skills with the latest technology, you?ll help maintain or develop some of our most innovative products. You?ll cover a range of skilled disciplines, all of which are essential to the development of new and existing models.

Following your apprenticeship, you will have chosen your pathway to join either the Maintenance team, the Manufacturing Support team, the Manufacturing Installation and Commissioning team or the Toolmaker, Tool and Die Maintenance team
