Brief Description

This exciting opportunity with Epwin Telford will see the successful applicant assisting in the design, development, testing and support of products manufactured or factored by the Company.

Qualifications Required

A minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grades 9-4 (A*-C), or equivalent, that must include Maths, English and Science.

Training to be Provided

This 4 year programme will include:
? Engineering Basic Skills training ? off the job full time at Make UK in Aston, Birmingham
? NVQ Level 3 in Engineering
? A Technical Certificate (BTEC Diploma Level 3 in Engineering)
? In house training in line with your requirements.

Vacancy Detail

The successful applicant will carry out a range of tasks related to design, development and testing.

These may include:

? Building Research and Development samples for new projects
? Building external test samples for accreditations
? Internally weather and security testing products to see the boundaries our products can achieve
? Internally testing customer?s products ? reassuring and advising them on faults before going to external testing and helping them feel confident with new hardware
? Input with Technical Department ? design ideas and customer queries
? Liaising with Quality Department in respect of issues raised by customers
? Helping set up test units externally e.g. wintech/element
? Supporting with building and stripping down show stands
? Testing and helping approve new tools e.g. millers and press tools
? Making sure sales samples have handles fitted and are undamaged, ready to be sent out

Salary: Starting salary will be between ?249.32 and ?258.91 depending on experience.
Hours: When at Epwin, hours will be Monday-Friday 08:30-17:00.
