We are looking for one Machining Operator, to work in our business at Dallem Engineering Limited in Bromsgrove.

The Apprenticeship will last for approximately 4 years and combine both studies at MAKE UK in Birmingham and on the job learning with an experienced mentor at the Factory.
As well as training and qualifications, you will also be paid a competitive rate of pay and will also be eligible for benefits, we will also support your continuing professional development after you have qualified.
Dallem Engineering are capable of taking your components from Design through to Production including all heat-treatment and coating requirements.

• Super Duplex
• All Stainless Grades
• Tool Steels
• Aluminium
• Plastics
• Cast Iron
• Brass

• Barfeed upto 50mm (2 inch) Dia x 350mm long, parts catcher
• Travel X-320mm Z-375mm
• Leadwell CNC lathes, Fanuc Controlled, 12 station turrets
• Colchester Mastiff. Turning dia 800mm (In gap) x 1.5 meters between centres
• Range of 3,4 and six jaw chucks, travelling staedy, DRO
• XYZ 1400 Turning dia. 350mm x 800mm between centres
• Range of 3 and 4 jaw chucks, DRO

We have the skills, tools and experience to weld just about any material including :-
• Mild Steel
• Stainless Steel
• Cast Iron

• Exotic Nickel based alloys
Or, if you have two different metals that need to be seamlessly joined and require a super smooth finish we offer brazing. Only brazing can join dissimilar metals such as Bronze. Steel, Aluminium, Wrought Iron and Copper which have different melting points.

Working Week : Year 1 - Mon-Thur 8am - 4.30pm, Fri 8am - 12.30pm
Salary : £ 182.50 to £ 235.43 (Weekly)

Future Prospects : Once you have completed your apprenticeship, you will be given the opportunity to progress through the company
Training to be Provided : This 4 year programme will include:
• Engineering Basic Skills training – off the job full time at Make UK in Aston, Birmingham
• NVQ Level 3 in Engineering
• A Technical Certificate (BTEC Diploma Level 3 in Engineering)
• In house training in line with your requirements.
