Brief Description

We are looking to recruit an apprentice at our Wolverhampton or Wednesfield Sites. Following the completion of apprenticeship you shall be offered a full time permanent role within the company. As a company, we supply and prefabricate re-enforcement steel to the construction industry supplying many well-known companies.

Qualifications Required

GSCE Maths, English, Science at 9-4 (A*-C)

Personal Qualities

Willingness to learn and positive attitude.

Skills Required

Excellent communication skills, able to demonstrate a clear interest in working in the manufacturing sector.

Training to be Provided

This 4 year programme will include:
? Engineering Basic Skills training ? off the job full time at Make UK in Aston, Birmingham
? NVQ Level 3 in Engineering
? A Technical Certificate (BTEC Diploma Level 3 in Engineering)
? In house training in line with your requirements.

You will be trained to work in the world of construction. The initial training will be broad based and could lead to a first appointment as a Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer.

As a maintenance engineer you shall learn how our machines and equipment work finding and fixing faults, you shall also be educated in how to complete planned preventative checks for safety purposes.

Your role will involve but won't be restricted to:
- Preventative scheduled maintenance of plant machinery
- Machine Fault Finding (mechanical and electrical) and repair
- Sourcing and fitting replacement parts
- Use of hand and power tools to assist in the role
- Completing the appropriate reports on breakdown or scheduled maintenance
- Utilising the appropriate software systems to log all maintenance activities
- Fault Finding and repair to hydraulic, pneumatics and PLC systems
- Electrical test and repair and installation
- Maintain and repair ancillary factory equipment
