Brief Description
A vacancy has arisen to join the Electrical Department. This is an excellent opportunity to work as part of a highly skilled Electrical Engineering team within a lower tier COMAH facility.
Qualifications Required
5 GCSEs grades 9-4 (A*-C) or equivalent
Personal Qualities
You will need to demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with a range of departments to ensure that daily goals are achieved
Skills Required
Excellent communication skills
Able to demonstrate a clear interest to work in the manufacturing sector
Training to be Provided
This 4 year programme will include:
• Engineering Basic Skills training – off the job full time at Make UK in Aston, Birmingham
• NVQ Level 3 in Engineering
• A Technical Certificate (BTEC Diploma Level 3 in Engineering)
• In house training in line with your requirements.
Future Prospects
Once you complete your apprenticeship, you will become an electrical technician.

We are specialists in organo-sulfur synthesis and high pressure hydrogenation supplying organic chemistry services to a global market in quantities from grams to multi-tonnes. We manufacture intermediates for the Pharmaceutical, Agrochemical and Speciality Chemical industries as well as many others and our team of chemists are experts in custom synthesis, contract manufacture and process optimisation.
A vacancy has arisen to join the Electrical Department. This is an excellent opportunity to work as part of a highly skilled Electrical Engineering team within a lower tier COMAH facility.
You will be highly trained to work in the world of manufacturing, the initial training will be broad based leading to a first appointment as an Electrical Technician. The training will involve:
Electrical preventative and reactive maintenance work
Electrical plant installation and modification work
Statutory inspections
The use of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems
The ability to use and interpret equipment drawings, manuals and other technical information to assist with all works
Work in accordance with the company safe systems of work and permit to work systems
This is a 4 year programme, where you will spend the first year at our training provider, Make UK's, site in Witton for 36 weeks, in year two you will spend 4 days per week at Robinson Brothers in West Bromwich, and day release to Make UK and in your final 2 years you will be based in West Bromwich full time. Please ensure that you are happy and able to travel to both Witton and West Bromwich.

This is a chemical plant, flammable and toxic materials are used and manufactured on site and therefore we are highly regulated by the HSE.
