Brief Description

The position of Apprentice Spring Technician involves the manufacture of springs and wire forms of all parts of CBS, you will be expected to learn all production aspects of the business and utilize your apprenticeship learning to highlight areas of improvement to the business to increase quality and efficiency.

Qualifications Required

Qualifications are not as important as a desire to learn and become an engineer, although grade D / 3 or above in maths and English language would be favourable. You should be able to read English instructions and write legible results

Please note that this Intermediate (Level 2) Apprenticeship will last for 12-18 months. It will involve spending one day per week at MAKE UK's state-of-the-art Training Hub in Aston, and four days per week at the employer's site for the duration of the apprenticeship.

The Key Accountabilities:

To develop and maintain relationships with staff and ensure a happy healthy environment
To collaborate with colleagues to get the best use of machinery and maintain delivery targets
To Ensure the workshop is left clean and equipment, samples, tooling is returned after use
Assist with development of apprentices by passing on skills
Ensure that parts leaving are inspected and conform to drawing, sample, job card.
Ensure that equipment is used safely
