Creating the cars of tomorrow is a challenge around 40,000 passionate Jaguar Land Rover colleagues take on every day. The way cars are created and driven is changing. And we are leading that change. Our vision is for a cleaner, smarter, more connected world where autonomous, connected, electrified and shared vehicles will replace the environmentally impactful world of the internal combustion engine. Throughout our history we have always taken on the challenges of creating the most prestigious, sustainable and desirable cars.

Working in one of the largest functions within our business you?ll have a key role in delivering our current product range of vehicles to the highest standards to meet our customers? expectations.

Operating in world-class manufacturing facilities such as press, body and paint shops; and vehicle assembly areas, you?ll be responsible for maintaining automated and advanced technologies, in either mechatronic maintenance or toolmaking roles. You?ll provide support to maximise production efficiencies and maintain plant equipment to ensure the smooth running of our state-of-the-art production facilities.

Join the Advanced Apprenticeship Scheme, and you?ll have opportunities to make your mark in routes such as:

TOOLMAKER, TOOL AND DIE MAINTENANCE

Responsible for producing high quality body components to high efficiency levels, we take initial body designs, assess the suitability for production and then oversee the manufacture for press tooling and plant for delivery, into internal and external press shops. The equipment is sourced across the globe and this process is undertaken by a team of engineers with world-class skills and knowledge across all stamping technologies.

As an Advanced Apprentice you will undertake structured training in order to complete maintenance and improvement tasks to increase the quality and performance levels of the tooling, plant and products we make. You?ll work with cutting edge equipment and be constantly challenged in a fast- paced production environment.

MAINTENANCE

In this area you?ll become a Mechatronics Maintenance Technician working on a range of facilities with a high level of automation and robotics. You?ll be responsible for maintaining equipment to support the manufacture of our vehicles.

In addition, you?ll use your problem-solving skills to carry out proactive preventative and predictive maintenance; as well as diagnose and fix faults on complex machinery and equipment, to ensure our manufacturing operation runs smoothly.

Other Information

Following your apprenticeship, you will have chosen your pathway to join either the Maintenance team or the Toolmaker, Tool and Die Maintenance team.
