Brief Description

Reporting to the Shift Supervisor. You will be required to trained in how to run various modern profile Injection moulding lines. You will also need to have the ability to be trained to perform tool changes and basic maintenance. Quality control checks will be an important part of the daily routine. As will adhering to health & safety procedures.

Qualifications Required

3 GCSEs at grade 3 (D) or above, ideally Maths and English

PLEASE NOTE: You cannot hold any Level 3 qualifications to be eligible for this course.

Please note that this Intermediate (Level 2) Apprenticeship will last for 12-18 months. It will involve spending one day per week at MAKE UK's state-of-the-art Training Hub in Aston, and four days per week at the employer's site for the duration of the apprenticeship.

Future Prospects

This is a twelve-month apprenticeship with a starting wage of ?6.75 ph. This is reviewed after six months and if the apprentice is progressing well will be increased. After the twelve-month review if the apprentice has attained a solid foundation & knowledge. They will be rewarded with a full-time contract on the same rate of pay as the other operators. Currently this is ?12.63 plus 5.5% bonus.

As an ever expanding company we are always looking for enthusiastic people to join our team. We have 4 sites across England & N Ireland with a mixture of manufacturing and warehouse based jobs. This position has become available due to a recent increase in capacity to meet growing demand.

? Learning how to setup and operate a modern touch screen Injection Moulding line.
? Following a production plan via our barcode tracking system
? Perform various quality checks using state of the art profile scanning machines.
? Learning how to change complex Injection moulding tool dies.
? Learn how to perform basic machine & tool maintenance.

Thermoseal Group will provide experienced mentor based on the job training. This will be in parallel to polymer training course in conjunction with Wolverhampton University.
