Brief Description

Apprentice Field Service Engineer at Veritek will be trained to work in the following sectors ? Healthcare, Ophthalmic, Digital Cinema and Graphics. The role will involve full time study following the apprenticeship course together with on-the-job learning, carrying out equipment installation and maintenance at a variety of site locations

Qualifications Required

A minimum of 3 GCSEs at grade 4 (C) or above in Maths, English Language and, ideally, science.

Skills Required

Excellent communication skills, basic IT knowledge, able to demonstrate a clear interest in engineering, ability to work as part of a team , technical proficiency, problem solving ability

Training to be Provided

This 4 year programme will include:
? Engineering Basic Skills training ? off the job full time at Make UK in Aston, Birmingham
? NVQ Level 3 in Engineering
? A Technical Certificate (BTEC Diploma Level 3 in Engineering)
? In house training in line with your requirements.

Veritek, a leading European Field Engineering, Support and Repairs Business, who offer gold-standard outsourced engineering services and support for complex mission critical technologies, are currently looking to recruit a full time apprentice to become a Field Service Engineering apprentice.

The role will be responsible for carrying out:
- installations
- servicing
- repairs
- equipment moves and changes
- upgrades
- modifications
on a variety of equipment with a focus on Medical Digital Equipment.

You will be highly trained to work in the world of electro-mechanical and electronic engineering, to maintain and repair a wide range of complex equipment including:
Photo Imaging
Healthcare Medical Imaging
Ophthalmic
Graphics Printing
Digital Cinema

The working environments will vary from Hospitals, Cinemas, high street retail to Industrial units depending on which sector you are working in.

Your patch will be in the South East and you will ideally be based around the Watford/ Luton area to be central to have easy access to your client base. You will be given a company vehicle, fuel card, mobile, laptop and all the tools you will need to be a successful field based engineer.

Other Information

The role requires a clean driving licence.

The role involves:
? Extensive driving and travel, with some overnight stays
? Out of hours working on occasions with early starts and late finishes
? Engineers are expected to work a minimum of 40 hours per week, requirement for engineers to be flexible with start and finish times due to customer demands
? working on your own for the majority of the time
? During the apprenticeship we would expect start and finish times to be 8.30am ? 5.30pm
