Brief Description

You will be highly trained to work in the world of manufacturing. The initial training will be broad based and could lead to a first appointment Apprentice Maintenance and Site Service Engineer

Qualifications Required

Please note that according to the new grading system, the new equivalent of a GCSE C Grade is a Grade 4 (with a Grade 5 being the equivalent of a high C/low B).

Future Prospects

Once you complete your apprenticeship, you will become a multiskilled maintenance engineer. Throughout your apprenticeship you will be taught to service and maintain any part of the plant machinery.

We are seeking to employ and train a maintenance and site service engineering apprentice.

The role includes:
Carrying out inspection and fault analysis on all types of industrial and commercial electro mechanical equipment
Preparing repair costing (time & materials)
Sourcing components where required
Completing repairs
Testing repaired items
Preparing fault / repair reports
Liaison with suppliers
Liaison with customer for fault identification
Recommendation for replacement with new item
Maintaining test kit, tools and workshop
Presentation of returned items to desired standards
Attending breakdown work on clients site
Completing installation work on clients site
Undertaking routine service work on clients site

Other Information

This is a fast paced role where you may be working under time pressures.
