Brief Description

Hadley group are searching for someone to assist the Planning Manager in the control of raw materials, organisation of despatch and transport, stock planning and control, efficient and accurate recording of all production orders, relevant statistical information, with strict adherence to the company quality procedures

Qualifications Required

Maths, English GCSEs, 9 - 4 (A-C) or equivalent
Business administration NVQ desirable

? In house training in line with your requirements.

We are searching for an apprentice to join our Planning Department, to assist the Planning Manager in the control of raw materials, organisation of despatch and transport, stock planning and control, efficient and accurate recording of all production orders, relevant statistical information, with strict adherence to the company quality procedures.

You will be trained to be an engineer, with a bias in production and planning.

The job holder will learn to:

Be familiar with and understand the company quality manual and standards, the company documentation systems and procedures and the physical characteristics of all products (stacking rules, safe loads for transport)
Learn all stock locations and learn what all items look like
Picking loads ready for the FLT drivers to load correctly & ensuring that FIFO is always followed.
Planning and Programming of customer orders, raising customer copies and acknowledgements ensuring that all production documentation is correct and complete.
Planning and expediting of raw materials, including preparation of purchase orders and associated documentation in accordance with the company systems and procedures.
Planning of material deliveries, resulting in minimum waiting time by transport companies and preventing disruption to production by ensuring materials are available when required.
Print delivery notes and ensure that all paperwork is correctly placed on the despatch board
Update and maintain material records, purchase records and supplier performance records to aid in the supplier, ?Quality of Service,? assessment.
Ensure that the despatch board is updated throughout the day
Assist in the control of minimum/maximum raw material stock levels, paying particular attention to F.I.F.O stock issuing policy and batch traceability.
Gain an understanding of the load building process
Ensure raw material over/under deliveries and rejections etc are dealt with speedily and effectively.
Accurately recording and inputting production / customer orders
Supporting with purchasing of material where required
Collecting data to monitor delivery performance
Supporting production team with input and printing of job sheets
Carry out any filing of delivery notes and ensuring that all notes and signed and attached correctly (This then completes the full process start to finish of picking and despatch
Assist with the planning and programming of customer orders, raising customer order copies and acknowledgements, ensuring that all production documentation is correct and complete.
Assist in prioritisation of production.
Assist in the control of minimum/maximum finished goods stock levels.
Assist with the organisation, loading and despatch of finished goods and preparation of relevant paperwork paying particular attention to F.I.F.O stock issuing policy and batch traceability
Update machine record sheets daily, weekly and monthly, ensuring Production/Plant Managers are notified of monthly efficiencies.
Ensure correct rotation of stock by strict adherence to batch traceability in conjunction with F.I.F.O stock issuing.
