Brief Description

Are you looking for a varied role in engineering? Triton showers are looking for an apprentice to bridge the gap between production and maintenance, becoming a specialist in both disciplines. This unique apprenticeship will allow you to be trained across multiple functions and be truly multiskilled.

Qualifications Required

The successful candidate will hold a minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade 4 / C or above, or equivalent, to include maths, English language and science.
Any engineering related qualifications will be regarding favourably.

Practical knowledge of machining, assembly, engineering and quality is desirable but not essential.

Training to be Provided

This 4 year programme will include:
• Engineering Basic Skills training – off the job full time at Make UK in Aston, Birmingham
• NVQ Level 3 in Engineering
• A Technical Certificate (BTEC Diploma Level 3 in Engineering)
• In house training in line with your requirements.

Triton showers are looking for an apprentice to bridge the gap between production and maintenance, becoming a specialist in both disciplines. This unique apprenticeship will allow you to be trained across multiple functions and be truly multiskilled.

Key Function of the role: To assist the Production Engineering team on projects to introduce new products into volume production, providing the necessary equipment, with supporting documentation and conforming to the latest legislation requirements.
Support where required the Maintenance team in scheduled preventative maintenance tasks and new capital equipment projects.

Duties and Responsibilities throughout your training and beyond will include:

Supply production with all product associated tooling, ensuring that it complies within Health and Safety regulations and company procedures.
Liaise with suppliers to improve existing production equipment.
Support Production, build, test procedures, product clarification and problem solving.
Supply sample units for new products and ‘current’ product range, full sample documentation with supporting revision controls.
Support the Operations team in the preparation and undertaking of pre-production builds.
Work with Continuous improvement teams to help identify manufacturing improvements through production methods and documentation.
Assist the maintenance department and team leaders, in equipment trouble shooting, fault finding and repairs.
Support the Maintenance team in scheduled preventative maintenance tasks when required.
Assist in identifying capital equipment projects to improve production efficiency or replacement.
