Brief Description
We are seeking to employ and train 3 apprentices. You will receive broad-based training covering many aspects of Aerospace Manufacture, specialising as a craft apprentice. You can become a Skilled Fitter, Welder or Sheet metal worker.
Qualifications Required
Essential ? 5 GCSEs at 9 ? 4 / A* - C (5 or above preferred), must include maths, English language, and ideally Science, or equivalent related qualification.

? Engineering Basic Skills training ? off the job full time at Make UK in Aston, Birmingham

? A Technical Certificate (BTEC Diploma Level 3)
? In house training in line with your requirements.
Future Prospects
You can become a Subject Matter Expert in Skilled Fitter, Welder or Sheet Metal Worker on completion of the apprenticeship
Vacancy Detail
We are seeking to employ and train 4 apprentices.
You will receive broad-based training covering many aspects of Aerospace Manufacture, specialising as either a craft apprentice. Following your apprenticeship, your first appointment will be one of the following roles: Skilled fitter, Skilled Welder and Sheet Metal Worker
When onsite apprentices work alongside trained staff to enhance their skills, putting into practise what they have learnt at the EEF.
This can range from:
Shadowing manufacturing engineers
Sheet metalwork
Welding
Continuous improvements activities
Using:
Rapid prototyping equipment onsite
Joining Techniques - Vacuum Brazing, Welding capability
Heat Treatment and Chemical Processing capability
Components produced from a variety of different materials
Apprentices will be required to comply with all ethical, environmental and safety regulations. While onsite apprentices are rotated throughout departments to ensure competency in all required skill sets.
