Brief Description
To work in a supported learning environment to develop the skills and knowledge which will assist the apprentice to complete their qualification and progress in their career of a multi-disciplined Maintenance Technician.
Qualifications Required
5 GCSEs at Grade 4/C or above including Maths and English Language.

Skills Required
- Previous attendance or exposure to Specialised STEM academy or release program (preferred)
- Hobbies and pursuits support interest in Engineering
- Relevant work experience/exposure in manufacturing environment (preferred)
Training to be Provided
This 4 year programme will include:
? Engineering Basic Skills training ? off the job full time at Make UK in Aston, Birmingham
? NVQ Level 3 in Engineering
? A Technical Certificate (BTEC Diploma Level 3 in Engineering)
? In house training in line with your requirements.

Vacancy Detail
An opportunity for a Maintenance Technician Apprentice has become available at Stadco. Once trained, the Apprentice will be responsible for tasks such as:
? Providing breakdown cover, both mechanical and electrical.
? PLC problem diagnoses and resolution
? Maintenance on robot systems,
? Pneumatics & Hydraulics problem diagnoses and resolution.
? Responsible for optimising and sustaining process performance.
? Identifying and leading improvements.
? Training down of 1st line autonomous maintenance.
? Maintaining adequate records of all breakdown and planned work.
? Use root cause analysis methodology to improve plant.
? Work with engineers and carry out project work.
Other Information
Working week: Yr 1: Mon-Thurs 08:00-16:30 Fri: 08:00-12:30. 36.5 hours. Yr 2+ Mon-Thurs 07:30-16:15 Fri 07:30-12:30. 38 hours per week.
