Brief Description
We are seeking to employ and train 4 Apprentices. You will receive broad-based training covering many aspects of Aerospace Manufacture, specialising as a Craft Apprentice. You can become a Skilled Fitter / Welder.
Qualifications Required
5 GCSEs at 9 – 4 / A* - C (5 or above preferred), must include maths, English language, and ideally Science, or equivalent related qualification.

Training to be Provided
• Engineering Basic Skills training – off the job full time at Make UK in Aston, Birmingham
• NVQ Level 3
• A Technical Certificate (BTEC Diploma Level 3)
• In house training in line with your requirements.
Future Prospects
You can become a Subject Matter Expert in Skilled Fitter, Welder or Sheet Metal Worker on completion of the apprenticeship

We are seeking to employ and train 4 Apprentices.
You will receive broad-based training covering many aspects of Aerospace Manufacture, specialising as either a craft apprentice. Following your apprenticeship, your first appointment will be as a Skilled Fitter / Welder:
1. Skilled Fitter / Welder
When onsite apprentices will work alongside trained staff to enhance their skills, putting into practise what they have learnt at Make UK.
This can range from:
Shadowing skilled fitters / welders and manufacturing engineers
Fitting
Welding
Performance acceptance testing
Continuous improvements activities
Using:
Joining Techniques - Vacuum Brazing, Welding capability
Heat Treatment and Chemical Processing
Components produced from a variety of different materials
Apprentices will be required to comply with all ethical, environmental and safety regulations.
While onsite apprentices will rotate throughout departments during year 2 to ensure competency in all required skill sets.

You must be able to confirm your ability to travel between Make UK's training site in Birmingham and site location in Wolverhampton
