Brief Description

MSP are looking for engineers to join their successful team manufacturing springs and pressings. If you are enthusiastic ambitious and driven, MSP can offer you valuable training & experience benefiting us both.

Qualifications Required

GCSE, or equivalent, in Maths, English & Science (any subject) at Grade 4 / C or above

Personal Qualities

Able to demonstrate a clear interest in working within in the manufacturing sector

Skills Required

Practically minded
Good attention to detail

Training to be Provided

This 4 year programme will include:
• Engineering Basic Skills training – off the job full time at Make UK in Aston, Birmingham
• NVQ Level 3 in Engineering
• A Technical Certificate (BTEC Diploma Level 3 in Engineering)
• In house training in line with your requirements.

Apprentice role within toolroom department which will in time evolve (to the right candidate) tool maker manufacturing parts to Aerospace (or equivalent) standards from drawing through to completion.

Key duties:
• Supporting the manufacturing process
• Tool parts
• Service and repair of Press tools
• Problem Solving
• Use a variety of equipment, tools and precision measuring instruments to compute dimensions and determine machining materials required
• Diagnose, dismantle and correct problems with machinery by making necessary repairs
