Brief Description
Exposure and training in a variety of manufacturing processes used in the precision engineering field.
Qualifications Required
At least grade 4/C in GCSE in mathematics, English language ideally with some technical knowledge
Personal Qualities
Diligent, hardworking, General curiosity and thirst for knowledge
Skills Required
Very good communication skills
Interest in all things mechanical, such as cars, bicycles, motor bikes
Good manual dexterity
Training to be Provided
This 4 year programme will include:
• Engineering Basic Skills training – off the job full time at Make UK in Aston, Birmingham
• NVQ Level 3 in Engineering
• A Technical Certificate (BTEC Diploma Level 3 in Engineering)
• In house training in line with your requirements.

Potential future could be estimating, shop floor supervision, work planning and scheduling

This vacancy is to train an apprentice to a high level of competence in a number of standard machining operations, in order to develop a multiskilled person who can find variety in working with us.
