In your second and third years, spending the majority of your time at work, you will attend Make UK on a day release basis to complete your classroom-based qualification, before moving into year 4 where you will spend all of your time at your employer company and completing a vocational qualification.
If you live outside of the West Midlands, you may be entitled to our residential course, where you will stay in a fully funded hotel, paid for by your employer, on a half board basis during the time you are at Make UK. Please bear in mind that you must be able to commute to your employer from your home. The hotel stay does not cover when you are back at your place of work, only when you are at the training provider.

You should also progress into a permanent engineering position within your company.
You will not be expected to pay tuition fees or obtain student loans, instead you will be paid to learn.
You will be expected to work hard throughout your apprenticeship, however what you will gain from your apprenticeship will more than make up for this.

Other Information
Working in engineering and manufacturing can prove to be noisy at extreme temperatures, sometimes dirty / dusty and you may be expected to work at height or work with heavy lifting.
The work can be very satisfying and with the impending skills shortage across the UK, you could be set for life as long as you put the work in.
