Brief Description

As our Engineering Apprentice, you will become an expert in all things electrical and mechanical maintenance, well-versed in completing a wide range of electrical and mechanical fault finding, reactive and planned maintenance activities, all within our brand new, state of the art factory.

Qualifications Required

3 GCSEs at 9 – 4 / A* - C (5 or above preferred), must include maths, English language, and ideally Science, or equivalent related qualification.

Training to be Provided

Together with invaluable commercial and practical experience, you’ll gain several academic and vocational qualifications throughout your time with us, which are fully paid for, including: 
● Level 2 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Foundation Competence)  – off the job full time at Make UK in Aston, Birmingham in year 1
● Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Competence) 
● Level 3 BTEC Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Knowledge)
● In house training in line with your requirements.

To support this growth, we have invested £35 million in a brand new, fully automated manufacturing facility and are recruiting for an Apprentice Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to join our experienced and supportive Engineering Team.

Our Apprentice Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer will gain a range of experience including:
• Electrical and mechanical maintenance/repair of a wide range of equipment, including bulk handling systems, automated transport systems, and automated filling systems or equivalent.
• Fault finding and repair of motors, inverters, contactors, and relays.
• Ensuring compliance with regulations such as emergency lighting, PAT testing, and fixed wiring.
• Interpreting schematics to complete 3-phase electrical fault finding and repair.
• PLC and Scada interrogation including diagnostics, maintenance, and repair.
• ABB robotics maintenance.
