Brief Description

Curtiss-Wright Corporation has the most renowned legacy in the aerospace industry.
This role will be integral to the business and a great opportunity for an apprentice to grow and develop, learning a number of skills across all areas. Working to fine tolerances, using technical drawings to apply coating to critical parts for the aerospace industry.

Qualifications Required

3 GCSEs at 9 – 4 / A* - C (5 or above preferred), must include maths, English language, and ideally Science, or equivalent related qualification.

Skills Required

- Clear communication skills

- Ability to follow instructions

Training to be Provided

Together with invaluable commercial and practical experience, you’ll gain several academic and vocational qualifications throughout your time with us, which are fully paid for, including: 
● Level 2 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Foundation Competence)  – off the job full time at Make UK in Aston, Birmingham in year 1
● Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Competence) 
● Level 3 BTEC Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Knowledge)
● In house training in line with your requirements.

Future Prospects

On completion of your apprenticeship, you will be offered the opportunity to work in the workshop as a qualified coating engineer to work in the Aerospace, Military, Medical and Oil and Gas industries

This is workshop based role. Job duties include but not confined to:

• Technical Drawings
• Applying processes from technical drawings
• Working to tight tolerances
• Project work
• Problem solving
• Interpretation of customer requirements
