Brief Description

To provide all Supply Chain & Purchasing aspects (Including Nuclear) to the Product Realisation process for Kuka UK Ltd. Qualifications Required: Ideally you will have 5 GCSEs grades 4 (C) or above, or equivalent, that includes maths, English and Science or Technology

Qualifications Required

5 GCSEs at 9 – 4 / A* - C (5 or above preferred), must include maths, English language, and ideally Science, or equivalent related qualification.

Personal Qualities

Interest in and ideally basic knowledge of manufacturing processes, machining, welding & general fabrication Interest in modern technology Interest in project management Flexible attitude to Blended Learning requirement

Skills Required

Excellent communication skills, written, reading and oral Good IT Skills & Outlook Confident , good teamwork and ethics behaviours Good numeracy and English skills

Training to be Provided

Together with invaluable commercial and practical experience, you’ll gain several academic and vocational qualifications throughout your time with your employer and Make UK, which are fully paid for, including: 
● Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Practical Foundation Training – in year 1, in 6 week blocks to include 4 weeks at Make UK and 2 weeks in company
● Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Workplace Competence Training - in years 2 to 4 in company
● Level 3 BTEC Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Development Knowledge - in Years 1, 2 & 3 on block release to Make UK
● In house training in line with your requirements.
● Further qualifications deemed necessary by your employer

On completion of your studies, you will achieve your full apprenticeship certification that will prove competence as a Level 3 Mechatronics Maintenance Engineering Technician.

Future Prospects

This 4 year programme will include: • Engineering Basic Skills training – off the job full time at Make UK in Aston, Birmingham • NVQ Level 3 in Engineering • A Technical Certificate (BTEC Diploma Level 3 in Engineering) • In house training in line with your requirements.

This role's duties will involve: Producing Requests For Quotation followed by Quote Analysis, Conduct negotiations with Supply Chain to optimise costs and timing Processing Project & Non Project Materiel Orders as required & Expedite Materiel from Supply Chain to meet Project timing and delivery requirements Generating and maintaining Supply Chain status reports and KPIs Generating Import and Export Documentation and maintain compliance Work Order & Production Planning including Routings and Bookings Having good General Engineering workshop equipment skills Turning, Milling, Grinding, Drilling to enable processing, fitting or assembling electrical / electronic features of new products as required Working to KUKA Corporate Compliance requirements
