Qualifications Required
5 GCSEs at 9 – 4 / A* - C (5 or above preferred), must include maths, English language, and ideally Science, or equivalent related qualification.

Training to be Provided
Together with invaluable commercial and practical experience, you’ll gain several academic and vocational qualifications throughout your time with us, which are fully paid for, including:
● Level 2 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Foundation Competence) – in year 1, in 6 week blocks to include 4 weeks at Make UK and 2 weeks in company
● Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Competence)
● Level 3 BTEC Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Knowledge)
● In house training in line with your requirements.
Future Prospects
Once you complete your apprenticeship, you should expect to progress to a maintenance engineer, however the sky in the limit. Ibstock takes pride in having former apprentices as plant managers, engineering managers and even a sales manager.

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Supporting our engineering team with maintenance of plant equipment and undertaking preventative tasks
- Gaining critical knowledge in Engineering Maintenance Procedures, Mechanical Systems, and Electro, Pneumatic, and Hydraulic Systems
- Learning to input data into our maintenance systems and assist with production data analysis - strong computer skills are a must!
- Working within our Health and Safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
