Brief Description
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain practical experience in CNC machine servicing and repair while working alongside our expert engineers. You will be involved in:
- Learning the fundamentals of CNC machining, servicing, and repair
- Assisting with machine diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs
- Working both at our factory and on the road
Qualifications Required
5 GCSEs at 9 – 4 / A* - C (5 or above preferred), must include maths, English language, and ideally Science, or equivalent related qualification.

• A good attitude to working with and taking instruction from management and colleagues
• Willingness to learn and put in the appropriate effort to gaining their qualification and learning about the business

Willingness to Learn – A proactive attitude towards training and developing new technical skills in CNC machinery.
Problem-Solving Skills – The ability to think critically and apply logical solutions to machine faults and breakdowns.
Teamwork & Communication – Strong collaboration with engineers and customers, with a professional approach in both workshop and field-based environments.
Training to be Provided
Together with invaluable commercial and practical experience, you’ll work towards several academic and vocational qualification levels throughout your time with us, which are fully paid for, including:
● Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Foundation Competence – in year 1, in 6 week blocks to include 4 weeks at Make UK and 2 weeks in company
● Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Development Competence - in years 2 to 4 in company
● Level 3 BTEC Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Development Knowledge - in Years 2 & 3 on block release to Make UK
● In house training in line with your requirements.
● Further qualifications deemed necessary by your employer
On completion of your studies, you will achieve your full apprenticeship certification that will prove competence as a Level 3 Engineering Technician.
Future Prospects
Once you qualify. you will be given the opportunity to join the maintenance team on a permanent basis, however your future is whatever you want to make it.
