Brief Description
We are seeking to employ and train two Multiskilled Maintenance Engineering Apprentices
You will receive extensive college and work-based training, in preparation for a career in an expanding and renowned global manufacturing company. You will learn to complete both preventative and reactive maintenance tasks in a fantastic environment.
Qualifications Required
5 GCSEs at 9 – 4 / A* - C (5 or above preferred), must include maths, English language, and ideally Science, or equivalent related qualification.

Skills Required
Communication skills, able to demonstrate a clear interest in working in the manufacturing sector
Training to be Provided
Together with invaluable commercial and practical experience, you’ll work towards several academic and vocational qualification levels throughout your time with us, which are fully paid for, including:
● Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Foundation Competence – in year 1, in 6 week blocks to include 4 weeks at Make UK and 2 weeks in company
● Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Development Competence - in years 2 to 4 in company
● Level 3 BTEC Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Development Knowledge - in Years 2 & 3 on block release to Make UK
● In house training in line with your requirements.
● Further qualifications deemed necessary by your employer
On completion of your studies, you will achieve your full apprenticeship certification that will prove competence as a Level 3 Engineering Technician.

What will you be doing?
The successful applicants would be expected to utilise and enhance their classroom based education by working alongside and supporting fully qualified engineers on a variety of breakdowns and preventative maintenance. From a well-established non-ferrous foundry, rolling mill, heat treatment and finishing plant, to infrastructure and production engineering. The range of onsite work will be challenging, interesting, and rewarding.
The role will include:
• Obtaining, checking and interpreting relevant engineering drawings
• Installation, testing, fault finding and on-going planned maintenance of automated equipment
• Manual handling and general health and safety compliance within the workshop
• Performance and continuous improvement solutions
• The inspection and testing of devices and services
