Brief Description
This is an amazing opportunity to provide fault finding and maintenance of robotic automation equipment for KUKA Robotics UK Ltd. across the UK in a field based maintenance apprenticeship
Qualifications Required
5 GCSEs at 9 – 4 / A* - C (5 or above preferred), must include maths, English language, and ideally Science, or equivalent related qualification.

• Must have a professional approach dealing with customers, Suppliers and colleagues.
• Practical Hands on approach

Training to be Provided
Together with invaluable commercial and practical experience, you’ll gain several academic and vocational qualifications throughout your time with your employer and Make UK, which are fully paid for, including:
● Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Practical Foundation Training – in year 1, in 6 week blocks to include 4 weeks at Make UK and 2 weeks in company
● Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Workplace Competence Training - in years 2 to 4 in company
● Level 3 BTEC Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Development Knowledge - in Years 1, 2 & 3 on block release to Make UK
● In house training in line with your requirements.
● Further qualifications deemed necessary by your employer
On completion of your studies, you will achieve your full apprenticeship certification that will prove competence as a Level 3 Mechatronics Maintenance Engineering Technician.
Future Prospects
On completion of your apprenticeship, you can look forward to becoming a qualified Field Service Engineer, covering national clients, however the sky's the limit. Progression is always there for the right people.

ROLE
During your apprenticeship, you will be working towards the following competencies:
- In depth support from specialists and Technical Mentors to support the apprentice in developing the skills required for a Field Service Engineers.
- To provide fault finding on all equipment including mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, robotics and control and safety systems.
- To assist with installation, programming and testing of new installations and make modifications or enhancements to existing installations.
- To provide breakdown assistance both at customer sites and by telephone.
- To assist with service work / preventative maintenance and mechanical and electrical upgrades.

Other Information
Field Service Engineering may involve staying away from home, so you should be prepared to be away for up to a week at a time.
