Qualifications Required
5 GCSEs at 9 – 4 / A* - C (5 or above preferred), must include maths, English language, and ideally Science, or equivalent related qualification.

Training to be Provided
Together with invaluable commercial and practical experience, you’ll gain several academic and vocational qualifications throughout your time with your employer and Make UK, which are fully paid for, including:
● Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Practical Foundation Training – in year 1, in 6 week blocks to include 4 weeks at Make UK and 2 weeks in company
● Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Workplace Competence Training - in years 2 to 4 in company
● Level 3 BTEC Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Development Knowledge - in Years 1, 2 & 3 on block release to Make UK
● In house training in line with your requirements.
● Further qualifications deemed necessary by your employer
On completion of your studies, you will achieve your full apprenticeship certification that will prove competence as a Level 3 Engineering and Manufacturing Support Technician

Apprenticeship Programme:
During this programme, we'll help you develop your practical and behavioural skills and support you in gaining the technical and professional knowledge required for you to succeed in your career.
With many of our colleagues starting as apprentices, you’ll receive full support and guidance from everyone throughout.
By the end of your apprenticeship, you’ll have received industry-standard training and attained qualifications that will enable you to progress and reach your full potential.
What you'll be doing;
● Day to day operation of the effluent treatment plants. (2 x Effluent Treatment Plants)
● Day to day operation of the boiler house with daily checks and sampling
● Taking daily readings and entering information in excel spreadsheets
● Taking regular samples and boxing them up for off site analysis
● Regular Sourcing and purchasing of consumables
● Carrying out frequent maintenance – both reactive and preventative. This is maintenance of pipework, pumps, agitators, valves, instrumentation
● Supervising the unloading of chemicals
● Helping to construct Risk Assessments and COSHH assessments
● Liaising with the client to arrange work within their factory
● Will be using a tablet to complete Preventative maintenance tasks
● Wearing correct Personal Protective Equipment and working to a safe system of work to carry out higher risk maintenance involving chemicals and confined space
● Daily climbing of vertical ladders to reach plant equipment
● Use of cherry pickers to access plants and equipment

Travel is essential within this position
