Brief Description
This program will suit a motivated and enthusiastic individual to work closely with Engineering and Site managers to learn Ewie’s unique techniques and processes for manufacturing optimization for Key global manufacturers facilities based across the UK in the aerospace industry. You will be based in Derby but will travel to other Midlands sites
Qualifications Required
5 GCSE's at Grade C ( Grade 4/5 in the new numerical GCSE grading system) or above, including Mathematics and English as well as a Science, Technology or Engineering related subject
AND 90+ credits in an Engineering BTEC at level 3.

Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, candidates may progress to a full time role as an Application Engineer.

Working in the aerospace industry, with a base at the Rolls Royce Site in Derby, t his opportunity will be attractive to individuals who wish to enhance their skills and
expertise in mechanical manufacturing techniques, procedures and lean efficiencies in a progressive and challenging environment. The training role will work closely with Engineers and managers to ensure full absorption and understanding of our unique processes and business model.

Job role:
- Working closely with the Rolls-Royce Stakeholders to identify machining and consumable cost saving opportunities or benefits.
- You will learn how to and be responsible for planning, testing, implementing, and recording the benefits of new machining technologies.
- To ensure you remain up to date with the latest metal cutting developments, you will be required to engage regularly with tooling manufacturers and know about the latest metal removal processes.
- Working closely with the Rolls-Royce Stakeholders to identify machining and consumable cost saving opportunities or benefits.
- You will learn how to and be responsible for planning, testing, implementing, and recording the benefits of new machining technologies.
- To ensure you remain up to date with the latest metal cutting developments, you will be required to engage regularly with tooling manufacturers and know about the latest metal removal processes.
The successful candidate will follow a comprehensive curriculum with a clear end goal of a Level 4 qualification and the potential to take on the role of an Applications Engineer in the long term. All necessary training and support will be provided:
• On the job training alongside engineers and managers
• Learn Ewie operational processes and tools
• Collaboration with key stakeholders
• Provide day to day support to engineers and managers
